ConnMan 1.8 was released Tuesday, October 9th, 2012.

The highlights of this release are:

  • Handle rfkill hard block (Tomasz Bursztyka). When an rfkill hard block switch is enabled, the corresponding technology will not be available.
  • A new '--nobacktrace' command line switch to let the system handle core dump parsing (Patrik Flykt)
  • Tethering fix for Linux 3.5 kernels (Artem Bityutskiy) and a fix for Wireless Extensions handling (Johannes Berg)
  • Session API work, with the most noticable change being the AllowedBearers property expecting '*' as meaning "any" (Daniel Wagner). Notice that Session API is marked experimental.
  • The PrefixLength attribue of the IPv6.Configuration property is now properly implemented as a byte (Jukka Rissanen). The specification of the attribute in doc/service-api.txt has been correct all the time.
  • Various build fixes (Lucas De Marchi)

Thanks for all the hard work and bugfixes go to Artem Bityutskiy, Daniel Wagner, Gustavo Padovan, Johan Hedberg, Johannes Berg, Jukka Rissanen, Justin Maggard, Lucas De Marchi, Luiz von Dentz, Marcel Holtmann, Patrik Flykt, Tomasz Bursztyka, BMW, Collabora, Intel and ProFUSION.
